It's a good thing my first trimester has been in the summer so I can indulge in a wide variety of one of God's great gifts to the earth.

On the other hand there are things I absolutely can't eat right now.
1. Onions- Even mentioning the word makes my stomach turn.
2. Garlic- That lingering taste it leaves in your mouth no matter how much you brush your teeth...so disgusting.
3. The smell beef leaves in your kitchen after you cook it. It takes days to go away so I don't cook it anymore. The grill has been our best friend lately.
4. Strong perfumes or deodorizers. I used to love the scent "coconut lime" from Bath and Body Works, but I had to take out our wallflower because the smell was too strong for me. I wonder if I will ever like it again.
6. The smell my dishwasher soap puts off when the dishwasher is running. Never noticed that before! Pre pregnancy I had a very keen sense of smell, but now it's like I have the nose of a dog. I can smell EVERYTHING!
7. Being hot. The a.c. is constantly running in our place for two reasons: first, since it is so humid here if the air isn't being circulated it gets really stuffy. Second, it's been in the 90's for the past three weeks so a.c. is a means of survival. At night I set the thermostat at 72 degrees. Mike says its like living in a meat locker. I really can't imagine being in the third tri here. I would die.
OK, I promise my next post will be something other than pregnancy stuff. Haha!

Haha! I love it!! Don't worry! I'm sure no one is getting tired of your pregnancy posts! I, for one, love them!! :)
Les! That is so funny.. Golden is Jeremii's cousin!! Lol! And omg congrats girl!! I am so so excited for you! You are going to be the best mom ever! And I LOVE hearing about your pregnancy! Everyone is so different, and I'm totally guessing from this post.. you are having a Boy! Have you ever heard of the Chinese calendar? Its said to be pretty accurate.. and it was with mine! You gotta check it out! And I want to see some pictures! I know most of the time you feel like a beached whale, but I promise you are going to look so cute!! :)
Fruit was my "go to" of choice as well. Sometimes apples made me sick. I totally agree with the whole "beef" thing! UGH... I couldn't eat it or smell it. You'll prob hate coconut lime for the rest of your life. I can't smell ANY juicy perfumes or I'll yak even now. Being around it when you're sick scars you for life! You're doing well and have a good attitude. Hang in there for a few more weeks. It'll be gone for sure by 17. I can't wait for you to pop out! Ahh, sooo cute!
mmm fruit! I love hearing about people's pregnancies because everyone is so different. It's crazy/cool what happens all from hormones haha!
I love your pregnancy posts--they are funny. When I'm pregnant I can't stand the smell of my other kids--and sometimes my husband! People smells were just too much for me even if they were good ones. I avoided the mall!

So when I heard you were pregnant I was dying, cause I knew we were going to have babies close together! So happy for you and Mike! We are going to Denver for thanksgiving, so we have to see you guys then! we'll be nice and big by then ;) Also funny story, when you posted about the blood being drawn, I read it the morning I was going to do mine and I was so nervous, but reading your post actually helped me relax, cause I did not want to go back! So thanks, hope you guys are great!
so i saw your comment on darlene's blog that you are expecting too and just decided to check out your blog. you and you husband both look so familiar, and i'm sure i just saw you on campus a few years ago or something, but i was trying to figure out where you are from. i was way excited to see my old friend jason buckley though! we grew up in the same stake, as i'm a grace, idaho girl, former roommate of darlene's! so anyway, stop by my blog sometime and leave me a note. i'm curious...oh and congratulations!!!
I have promised myself to not get pregnant on purpose during the summer for the first tri bc I hate the heat so much when I'm pregnant. Innate spent my first tri in June July and aug for both kids and am extra grumpy from the heat. We'll see if we can be that patient;-)
